Region: West Indies. Medium: woodblock. Comments: Other editions were published in 1534, 1547, and c.1565 with title "Isolario." The woodblocks used in the four editions were carved in about 1518. The blocks and the last edition were dated using the print clock method.

Comments: Italian editions of this map appeared in 1596, 1598, 1621, 1679-83 (recut), and 1713 (recut). Pirated editions appeared in northern Europe beginning in 1597 but were different plates. Part 2 of the 1598 and 1621 editions are dated 1597 and 1620, respectively, but are not separate editions. Burden (1996) lists a 1616 Italian edition but that was apparently derived from a cataloging error at Harvard. Source: Hedges (2006) and appendix.
